About the artwork:
This image came to me like a visitor, out of nowhere and fully formed. My abstract work, while few, always come to me this way. What feelings do these shapes and lines carry? What do you see when you look at an abstraction?

Mika draws strangers and designs for restaurants. She is a member of Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (Ang InK), the Philippines’ first and only organization of illustrators for children. Her work is minimalist and shape-driven, often favoring open space, quiet lines, and limited use of color.
